Rough poppy – (rare) native annual with pinnate, deeply incised leaves and fiery red flowers, usually with a black spot at the base. Like other poppies, this species requires a sunny, warm growing location, on not too moist, lime-poor, neutral soil (fallow land, verges, stony places).
Sow directly outdoors from March to May.
Blooms from June to July. Easy to maintain and self-seeds.
