The Alonsoa meridionalis , or monkey flower, is an annual plant that is loaded with intense orange to red flowers from June until well into autumn, has striking yellow stamens, nicely distributed over numerous 40 cm to 60 cm long stems. The separate flowers can be seen as resembling Diascia, but this species is not only suitable for combinations in pots, it is also very useful in bouquets: the more you cut, the more new flower stems appear. 'STARLETS' has, in addition to fiery red flowers, also plants with pink or snow-white flowers and dark stems.
