Echium vulgare 'Blue Bedder' low form of the viper's bugloss, with bright blue flowers that fade to pink
Sow directly in the open ground in April or May. Pre-sowing is possible from March. It also sows itself easily in any type of soil
Blooms from June and produces new flower stems until the end of October. Viper's Bugloss needs little maintenance, and by cutting off flowers, the plant will continue to bloom even longer.
Native to Europe and Asia, it grows best in poor, well-drained soil in a sunny spot.
