Lathyrus odoratus 'Matucana' , or sweet pea, the real old-fashioned sweet pea, grown for its scent! It enchants with its two-tone flowers in shades of purple-blue and burgundy and its delicious scent. Ideal for pergolas and fences.

Sow indoors from February to April and plant out in April or directly outside in March-April.

Blooms from June to September. Regular picking prolongs the bloom and prevents seed formation.

Native to southern Italy, grows best in humus-rich, well-drained soil in a sunny spot. Keep soil slightly moist.
