Linum usitatissimum (Flax): classic plant with practical charm
Blue-flowering flax - Very old cultivated crop, grown both for its fibres (linen) and for its seeds (linseed oil). The long, upright stems are branched only at the top and bear blue flowers, which are beautiful for cutting, while the stems with the seed heads are suitable for dried bouquets.

Sow directly in open ground from April to June.

Blooms from June to August. Regular topping prevents overgrowth.

Native to the Mediterranean and Western Asia, it grows well in sunny, nutritious soil.

A functional and decorative plant, ideal for both borders and flower meadows.
