Matthiola incana, better known as summer stock, are traditionally beloved annuals, not least because of their fragrant flowers and long vase life. This selection has the ideal height for bouquets, and often produces double flowers in all colours. Occasionally there may also be a single flower among them.

Sow indoors in March-April, transplant later.

Blooms from May to September. Regular topping encourages branching.

Originally from Southern Europe, it grows best in sunny, well-drained soil.
