The Scabiosa Stellata 'Drumsticks', or pigeon herb, is a charming annual plant with graceful, ball-shaped flowers in lilac white. Especially the crispy ball-shaped seed pods are popular fillings for (dried) bouquets. The flowers are popular with butterflies and bees. Perfect for borders, cutting gardens or wildflower meadows.

Sow directly outdoors in spring or indoors at 18-20°C. Cover seeds lightly. Seedlings can be planted out after the last frost.

This plant likes a sunny spot with well-drained, fertile soil. It flowers from summer to early autumn and grows to about 60-90 cm tall.

Scabiosa stellata is native to Southern Europe and North Africa.
