The Sedum caeruleum , or blue stonecrop, is a low-growing, succulent annual with small fleshy leaves that turn red; these contrast beautifully with the sky-blue star-shaped flowers.
Excellent for rockeries, dry borders and pots. Its compact growth and bright blue flowers make it decorative.

Sow directly in the open ground in spring. The seeds are fine and can be lightly covered. Keep the soil slightly moist during the germination period.

It sows itself in dry places.
Sedum caeruleum likes a sunny, dry spot with well-drained soil. It is drought tolerant and grows to about 10-15 cm high. It is sensitive to frost.

This plant is native to the Mediterranean region, more specifically Corsica, where it grows on rocky soils.
