Zinnia Haageana 'Chippendale Daisy' , or the Mexican zinnia is a low-growing annual with relatively large flowers. The brick-red flowers with golden yellow edges bloom exceptionally long and are drought-resistant. Good variety that looks very nice in pots and containers or at the front of the borders as it only grows to 40cm high. Compact plants for cut flowers and flower arrangements. The flowers are attractive to pollinators, especially butterflies that flock to the flowers.
Sow indoors in early April (not too early!) and then plant out after the last frost. You can also sow in situ from May.
So it comes from Mexico and likes full sun and well-drained soil.
