Centaurea muricata 'Desert Star' (sweet sultan)
The unknown star of the desert bears large, aromatic, airy ‘cornflowers’ on well branched stems. The pink lilac flowers with pale pink heart on long but sturdy stalks are excellent cut flowers and are frequently visited by butterflies and other insects. The plants are ornate with flowers from June to September and prefer a spot in full sun on not too damp soil. 80 s.
