Tweedia caerulea

. syn. Oxypetalum caeruleum. This beautiful variety with light blue flowers, a colour seldom found in the garden, is cultivated especially for cut flower use but also makes for a very decorative border and container plant. Although the original species is in fact a climber, this is a stand-up variety growing up to 90 cm, cultivated as an annual in cooler climates from its perennial ancestor from South America. Will overwinter in a frost-free glasshouse. 20s
