Nemophila maculata is een aantrekkelijk lage plant en heeft witte bloemen met 5 paarse 'spots' aan de uiteinden. Ideaal als bodembedekker of in potjes voor een wat speelsere en frisse uitstraling. Knip uitgebloeide bloemen weg om de bloei te verlengen. Inheems in Noord-Amerika, houdt van gefilterd zonnige tot halfschaduwrijke plekken waardoor de bloei langer aanhoudt.
