Digitalis purpurea

foxglove

Digitalis purpurea is a stately biennial plant with long, upright flower spikes full of bell-shaped flowers in shades of purple, pink. The flowers grow in dense clusters along sturdy stems and bloom from late spring to mid-summer.

Originally native to Europe, foxglove naturally grows in woodland edges and clearings. It is a true eye-catcher in natural gardens, borders, and wildflower meadows. Digitalis attracts plenty of bees and bumblebees, which crawl deep into the bell-shaped flowers for nectar.

Caution: all parts of the plant are toxic if ingested. Despite its beauty, caution is therefore important, especially around children and pets.

Warning: Toxic. The buyer accepts all liability regarding the use of this product.

verzorging

Hou de grond licht vochtig. Let daarbij wel op voor slakken die hiervan houden.

Om meeldauw te voorkomen kan je best voldoende afstand tussen de planten aanhouden om zo luchtcirculatie toe te laten.
