The A maranthus caudatus 'Coral Fountain' , or cattail amaranth, is a vigorously growing annual plant with long, hanging tails in coral red that bloom from July to October. Perfect for borders, pots and as a cut or dried flower. Its decorative clusters add a playful element to baroque bouquets. Some varieties are still eaten as a vegetable in oriental cuisine (leaves). It grows to 100-150 cm high.
